Back from Hiatus
Sorry about the long hiatus, I don't know what happened. Mostly just life. Lets see, the story so far: "In the beginning, the universe was created. This has made many people angry and been widely regarded as a bad move." (with apologies to Douglas Adams) Anyway, yes, April has been focused on the countdown to the upcoming Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy movie, due out this Friday. I've been entertaining the work lunch group with daily quotes and maxims from the guide, mostly from the original radio series.
DH and I also joined a gym, and I've been trying hard to be somewhat diligent about working out. I'm not so keen on their current aerobics schedule (and the fact that the schedule on their website is out of date, causing me to show up for classes that don't happen). However, I've been pretty good about going and doing at least a cardio-type workout, which is good for me. I did go swimming with DH one weekend, which turned out to be not such a good thing. I got water in my ear, which is bothersome. Then, I put more stuff in my ear to get the water out, which hurt. Then, the ear never seemed to clear up, so I tried putting different stuff in the ear to clear it up, which hurt really badly and clogged it all up again. Finally, I gave in and went to the doctor, figuring I had an ear infection. Wrong - I had a hole in my ear drum. This is why it always felt clogged up (it wasn't, the air pressure was just wonky). So, now, strict instructions to stop putting stuff in my ear, no swimming, plugs for the shower, and hope that the hole repairs itself. Oh, and stop trying to pop my ear - that was also probably making the hole bigger.
In stitching news, I did get my website newsletter done: http://www.crosseyedkat.com/news_frame.htm and generally ontime as well. I was all set and ready for the online Needlework show as well, which just ended. It went fairly well (much better than Dallas). I'm finally getting around to working on some new designs - need to do that more often. My new fabric from Picture this Plus arrived yesterday - I'll have to do some test stitching soon!
